  I checked myself in here for alcoholism, depression and addiction to benzodiazepines. I was prescribed them for acute symptoms resulting from being the victim of a violent crime...
  
  I have never been able to complete a stay at any hospital, until Banner. I've always been uncooperative at other places, because I can't stand being put in a dimly lit room that's cold, and color pictures all day.
  
  At Banner, once you get through processing (which can be unpleasant) you stay in a room that is sort of like a motel that sleeps two. There are hourly activities that you can participate in, and are encouraged to. Not only group talk, AA meetings, and the like - but, I'd picked up a pool cue and a guitar for the first time in 5 years in Banner.
  
  Nowhere else I've been has as much going on as this place. As someone who desires to get better, I can't recommend it enough. People must realize, though, that some people aren't ready to get better.
